The primary purpose of the Tabligh Department is to convey the true message of Islam and Ahmadiyyat to others. This is achieved through a programme of activities, events and initiatives which seek to reach out to the wider community, strengthen interfaith relations and introduce the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community and Lajna Imaillah. Through dialogue, discussion and extending the hand of friendship, our aim is to build bridges, dispel any misconceptions and unite communities in peace. It is to highlight to others the values and the teachings of true Islam.
The Department also runs a series of programmes to train and support local Tabligh Secretaries in developing and enhancing religious knowledge and effectively disseminating this knowledge for the purposes of Tabligh.
“Call unto the way of thy Lord withh wisdom and goodly exhortation, and argue with them in a way that is best. Surely, thy Lord knows best who has strayed from His way; and He knows those who are rightly guided”.
(Holy Quran 16:126)
“We have been commanded to convey the message and we cannot hold back from this, nor will we do so. We will complete what we must do. Only God Almighty knows who will be guided and will not. We will fulfil the task given to us but at the same time it is the promise of God that He and His Messenger will prevail, God willing, that is why we have hope that one day the majority will come into our fold”.
(Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V, may Allah be his helper, Friday Sermon 8 September 2017)
“In this era our women must propagate Islam and especially when it comes to women’s issues it is much more effective for women to respond than for any man to do so on their behalf. Every woman should pay careful attention to this and seek to gain knowledge of their faith so that they can refute the allegations directed at Islam.”
(Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V, may Allah be his helper, Concluding Address, Lajna Imaillah National Ijtema, September 2017)
“In this era one of the foremost objective for our Lajna is Tabligh”
(Hazrat Khalifatul Masih V, may Allah be his helper, Concluding Address, Lajna Imaillah National Ijtema, September 2017)
