A diverse group of over 400 women came together at the Annual Peace Symposium held by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association UK on Saturday 22nd June to discuss the role of women in shaping society.

The concept of Islamic segregation is based on a model of chastity incumbent on both men and women, that guides both to maintain boundaries of modesty and respect between one another. In some instances, these are physical boundaries, e.g. separate prayer areas, or meeting spaces.

We have just gone through a month of fasting in Ramadan which is, as we all know, much more than just refraining from eating and drinking. Ramadan is the month of generosity, alms and charity. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be on him) used to give charity “like the fast wind” in the month of Ramadan.

Understanding Islam is an online resource designed to support and facilitate the teaching of Islam at both primary and secondary levels. New presentations with accompanying explanatory notes now available for Key Stages 3 and 4 on the Understanding Islam website.

This year, by the Grace of Allah the Almighty, Lajna Imaillah UK were granted the privilege of holding the 2024 National Volleyball Tournament.

It is in our nature to look forward to the future and to wish and hope for something better for ourselves, our families and the world at the start of the new year. There is also an element of self-reflection on our failings and achievements over the past year and we may make new year’s resolutions.
