Prayer for Ablution

Before offering the Salat/prayers it is essential that one performs ablution.

Bismillahir rahmaanir Raheem

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

Allahum maj alni minat-tawwabeena waj alni minal muta-tahhireen

O Allah! Make me from among those who repent of their sins and from among those who keep themselves pure and clean.

Niyyat

Wajjahtu wajhiya lillazi fatarassamawati wal arda hanifan wama ana minal mushrikeen

I have turned my full attention towards Him Who have created the heavens and the earth,
 being ever-inclined to Him, and I am not one of those who associate partners with Allah.

Thana

Allahu Akbar

Allah is the Greatest

Subhanakallah humma wabi hamdika wata barakasmuka wata ala jadduka wa laa ilaha ghairuk

Glory to You, the Praiseworthy, and blessed is Your name, and exalted is Your majesty, and there is none to be worshipped besides You.

Surah Al-Faatiha

Auzu billahi minash shaitanir rajeem

I seek refuge with Allah from Satan the rejected.

Bismillahir rahmaanir Raheem
Alhamdulillahi rabbil alameen. Arrahmaa nir raheem
Maaliki yaumiddeen. Iyyaaka nabudu wa iyyaaka nastaeen.
Ihdinas siraatal mustaqeem. Siratal Iazeena an amta alaihim,
ghairil maghdoobi alaihim wa laddaal leen. Ameen.

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. The Gracious, the Merciful.
Master of the Day of Judgement. Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we beseech for help.
Guide us on the right path. The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings,
but not those who have incurred Thy displeasure, nor of those who have gone astray.

Surah Al-Ikhlaas

Bismillahir rahmaanir raheem.
 Qul hu wallahu ahad. Alla hus samad.
Lam yalid, wa lam yoolad. Wa lam yakullahu kufuwan ahad.

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, He is Allah the One. Allah, the Independent and Besought of all.
He begets not, nor is He begotten and there is none like unto Him.

Rukoo

Allahu Akbar

Allah is the Greatest

Subhaana rabbi yal azeem (recite three times)

Holy is my Lord, the most Great

Rabbanaa wa lakal hamd

Sami allahu liman hamidah

Allah hears him who praises Him

Rabbanaa wa lakal hamd, hamdan kaseeran tayyiban mubarakan fihi

Our Lord, Yours is the praise-praise that is abundant, pure and full of blessings.

Sajdah

Allahu Akbar

Jalsah

Allahu Akbar

Rabigh firli warhamni wahdini wa aafini wajburni warzuqni warfani

O Allah forgive me and have mercy on me, and guide me and keep me in good health,
and raise me up, and make good my shortcoming.

Tashah-Hud

Allahu Akbar

Allah is the Greatest

Attahiyyatu lillahi was salawatu wat tayyibatu.
Assamlu alaika ayyuhan nabiyyu wa rahma tullahi wa barakatuhu.
Assalamu Alaina wa ala ibaadilla his saliheen.
Ash hadu alla ilaha illallahu wa ash hadu anna Muhammadan abduhu wa rasoolhu

All verbal worship is due to Allah- and physical acts of worship and financial sacrifices.
peace be on you, O Prophet, and the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings.
Peace be on us and the righteous servants of Allah.

(At this point raise the index finger)
I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Servant and His Messenger.

Durood

Allahumma salli ala Muhammadin wa ala aali Muhammadin,
kama sallaita ala Ibraheema wa ala aali Ibraheema
innaka Hameedum Majeed.

Allahumma barak ala Muhammadin wa ala aali Muhammadin,
kama barakta ala Ibraheema wa ala aali Ibraheema
innaka Hameedum Majeed.

O Allah bless Muhammad(saw) and his people,
as thou didst bless Abraham and his people-
Thou art indeed the Praiseworthy, the Exalted.

O Allah prosper Muhammad(saw) and his people,
as thou didst prosper Abraham and his people-
Thou art indeed the Praiseworthy, the Exalted.

Concluding Prayers

Rabbana aatinaa fiddunyaa hasanatan wa fil aakhirati hasanatan wa qina azaban naar

Our Lord grant us good in this world, as well a good in the world to come, and protect us from the torment of the Fire.

Rabbij alni muqeemas salati wa min zurriyati.
Rabbanaa wa taqqabal dua. Rabbanagh firli wa li waali dayya wa lil mumineena yauma yaqoolmul hisaab.

My Lord make me observe Prayer and make my children too.
Our Lord! Bestow Thy grace on me, and accept my prayer.
Our Lord, grant forgiveness to me, and to my parents,
and to the believers on the day when the reckoning will take place.

Salam

Turn your face to the right and say the following, and then turn your face to the left and repeat the same.
